International motivational expert Chip Eichelberger will challenge attendees to ditch mediocrity and "switch on sales success" during a special presentation Oct. 6 during the 2011 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Eichelberger will present "S.W.I.T.C.H. On Your Sales Success!" and explore what dealers can do to stand out from the competition. RVDA and RVIA OK new career ladder for RV technicians

RVDA and RVIA have approved a new "career ladder" to increase the number of technicians eligible to participate in the RVDA-RVIA RV Technician Certification Program. New and novice techs can test as trainees, then as registered technicians as they start their journey toward certification. The program will certify techs in five new specialties—plumbing, appliances, electrical systems, chassis and body. Technicians who successfully complete testing in all specialties will be designated as Master Certified Technicians. Click here for more information.

Many manufacturers tell RVDA they use results from the association's Dealer Satisfaction Index (DSI) survey to adjust policies and procedures that affect dealers, so it's vital that all dealer members participate. Results from the survey will be presented at brand committee meetings scheduled for Oct. 3-4 during the RV Dealers International Convention/Expo in Las Vegas.
