Ally Financial announced it will offer a national program for wholesale financing of RV dealer inventory, expanding upon its preferred provider relationship with Thor Industries. Qualified dealers may obtain wholesale financing from Ally Financial for all or a portion of their inventory. Ally Financial representatives will be on hand at next week’s annual trade show in Louisville, KY, to introduce the program. "We

RVDA will continue its tradition of presenting the Quality Circle awards during its Members Reception, which is scheduled for Monday, November 29, from 5 p.m.
to 6:30 p.m. in the Crowne C Ballroom of the Crowne Plaza in Louisville, KY. The awards ceremony will begin at approximately 5:30 p.m. and will honor 25 brands that scored high on RVDA’s annual Dealer Satisfaction Index.

Snowbirds flocking to Florida RV parks once again

According to a recent report from the Florida Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds, snowbird reservations for long-term stays are up in the Sunshine State compared to the same time last year. The
same is true in Texas, Arizona, and California. In the Volusia-Flagler area, RV park operators say they are slightly up or even with last year, so far. The small rise in snowbird activity may be another sign of better economic times ahead as consumer confidence improves and snowbirds, especially Northerners renting condos or using an RV for extended campground stays, hit the open road.

RVDA member raises over $12,000 for breast cancer research

An RVDA member in North Carolina raised over $12,000 for the Charlotte Chapter of Susan G. Komen for the Cure during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Throughout October Tom Johnson Camping Center collected a portion of its gross profits from their Marion and Concord locations to donate to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. In total, they raised $12,455.59 for breast cancer research.
