Children with psoriasis were more likely to be overweight or obese, an international study showed, although the connection remains unclear. Kids with the inflammatory skin disorder were twice as likely to be overweight as unaffected peers, and obesity was more than four times higher with pediatric psoriasis, Dr. Amy S. "I literally had black eyes," said Tamara Pierce, a medical spa patient. "It was burning. I was terrified," said Carmella Takacs, a medical spa patient.
