Natural gas prices on track to stay high through summer, EIA says

The Energy Department’s Energy Information Administration (EIA) said it expects U.S. natural gas spot prices to rise again in June and remain high through the rest of the year.
Natural gas spot prices at the Henry Hub benchmark in Louisiana averaged $8.14 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) in May. The hub price is expected to average $8.71/MMBtu through August.

The cross-industry survey reveals no real easing in the PII cover available to the profession since the PII Group carried out its first survey on this matter 12 months ago. The 2022 survey, which received 652 responses, has found that, although high-rise residential work represents just 5% or less of the current workload for two-thirds of businesses, many are still suffering from increased premiums and excess levels, coupled with wide-ranging exclusions on cover.

Wildfire in southern Spain forces town evacuation; three hurt

A wildfire in mountains in southern Spain has forced evacuation of 2,000 people from the centre of the town of Benahavis and injured three firefighters, authorities said.
The blaze started on Wednesday afternoon on the slopes of Pujerra mountain in the Sierra Bermeja, above the Costa del Sol, a magnet for British tourists on the Andalusia coast, Andalusia's Wildfire Department (INFOCA) said on Twitter.
