The program awards up to $1,000 to students from all areas of science and engineering. Larger grants are available for astronomy or vision-related research.

Congratulations to the Rollins College Sigma Xi Chapter in Winter Park, Florida, for receiving the 2016 Sigma Xi Science, Math, and Engineering Education Grant. The chapter was awarded $2,000 to support a STEM education program titled, “Three-Week Cell Biology Laboratory Exercise: Visualizing Autophagy using TFEB-GFP Nuclear Localization.” Sigma Xi’s SMEE Grant provides chapters with seed funding for science education projects. Look for the next grant cycle in spring of 2017.
