Mark your calendars for SimOps 2020! Now being offered for a sixth year, SSH SimOps is designed to support the professional development of the Simulation Operations Specialist (SOS). Through hands-on learning experiences, inventive demonstrations, lively debates, a cutting-edge exhibition hall, and the latest research findings impacting simulation operations, SSH SimOps provides a unique experience for the SOS that strengthens the community of practice.

Simulation operations specialists continue to adapt and change to master simulation delivery demands and challenges, creating strong IMPACT in the field of healthcare simulation. This year’s meeting will showcase the IMPACT of simulation operations specialists through:

I – Interaction with peers, subject matter experts, and vendors in courses and informal networking

M – Mentoring to develop more opportunities for professional connection and networking

P – Purpose definition and goal-setting to strengthen resolve for continual improvement

A – Adapting to both immediate challenges and the changing landscape of technology and simulation operations

C – Creating a system for success using information, skills, and connections

T – Transforming mindsets, practices and workflows to enhance simulation operations delivery

The SimOps experience is built on the core tenants of peer Interaction, Mentor opportunities, defining Purpose, learning to Adapt to the simulation operations landscape, learning ways to Create a success system, and growing the skills needed to Transform mindsets, practices and workflows to enhance simulation operations delivery.

In support of IMPACT, The SimOps 2020 Planning Team has identified specific topics of importance they would like to include in this year’s program:

Simulation modality selection and variation
AV technology basics
Healthcare concepts courses for the SOS
