The new, revised HM Handbook Rules for Rallies 2015 is downloadable from the website or it can be purchased at

The entire handbook had to be revised, indexed and new placement of tables and new score sheets had to be created so we suggest you download or purchase a new one for 2015. Again, only Part 1 needs to be available for members at rally, Part 2 and 3 are for judges, assistants, chaperones, HMO and organizers.

Quick 'how to' ... submit your background check!
Are you holding a Pony Club position requiring a Background Check? If your background check has not yet been completed, is expiring or will soon expire, here’s how to submit your information.

Here is the link to access the background check on the background check FAQs webpage. Links to the background check are highlighted under the question, “How will I do the background check?”

Direct access to background check links may also be found in several places on our website:
  • Under the "Safety" tab, click on "Background Checks." Scroll down to the highlighted links for volunteers' or treasurers' applications.
  • Under the "Resource" tab of the menu bar on the Washington, D.C., resource page, California resource page and the Treasurer resource page — all found above the blurb about the respective digests.
Note: Background checks with incorrectly entered names do not produce any results, thus the background check must be submitted and paid for again. Tips to avoid this error:
  • Please enter your legal name as printed on your Social Security card.
  • Be certain to enter your last and first name in the appropriate boxes.
  • If you have a Junior, Senior or numerals after your last name, do not enter those in the last name field. Please indicate those along with other names you may be using in the box titled "Notes."
