National Level Retesting procedures!
So you’re eligible for a National Level Retest? You probably have a lot of questions on when, where and how!

First, familiarize yourself with the opportunities, procedures, guidelines and rules for a retest by reading over the National Level Retest Procedures located at this link.

Next, you will need to complete your retest application by logging into your new, personalized Upper Level Testing page!

Log-in using your user name and password. Under the heading "My Stuff," click on "Upper Level Testing."

All retest application deadlines are 3 weeks prior to the retest start date.

USPC Annual Meeting 2015!
The Capital and Virginia Regions invite you to the 2015 Pony Club Annual Meeting and Equine Symposium, a weekend of leadership training, educational workshops and socializing. Workshops begin Friday afternoon and run until noon on Sunday. A wide variety of topics offer something of interest to everyone, whether a Pony Club member, parent, leader or horse enthusiast.

Workshop speakers for 2015 include Wendy Murdoch presenting Five Minute Fixes to Improve Your Jumping and Daniel Stewart discussing his new book Pressure Proof Your Riding and covering Rider Fitness and Focus. Lower Level Examiner Training will be offered, including Lower Level Examiner Training specific to the Dressage and Hunter Seat Equitation Tracks.

Pony Club Members also have the opportunity to participate in the Art and Research Fair. Information about both opportunities will be available on the website shortly.

Regular registration prices of Adult $140 and Youth $110 and the ability to register for meal functions will be available until Jan. 6, noon EST. Visit online registration to register, please note that you must submit and pay for your registration prior to the January 6th deadline to receive the regular registration prices.

After January 6th, late registration will still be available online at the prices of Adult $155 and Youth $125 but please note that no meal function tickets will be available during late registration and there will be a limited number of tote bags and proceedings book available for late registrants.

Joint supplements for young horses

Can dietary supplements such as glucosamine help prevent arthritis in horses? There’s very little research to show which ingredients are helpful for horses in what quantities. But work being done at Texas A&M University suggests that glucosamine and similar supplements may be most helpful for a group of horses that seldom get them — yearlings who are still growing.
