USPC's 12 days of Annual Meeting Registration
In celebration of Christmas and as we look forward to the Annual Meeting, USPC’s Regional Administration would like to share 12 reasons for RSs, DCs and CAs to attend the 2015 Annual Meeting and Equine Symposium.
1.) Three and a half days of face-to-face training designed to make your volunteer positions easier and more meaningful.

2.) A workshop track on Saturday and Sunday just for you — club, center and regional leaders.

3.) Discover steps to building a successful team, tips for leading that team and through your team, develop a plan for mentorship and youth leadership development.

4.) Meet and get to know YOUR USPC Board Members.

5.) The Horsemasters integration plan will be detailed, giving everyone a complete picture of the changes for a successful future.

6.) Get inspired by workshops on Membership Growth and Promotion AND on Engaging Members for Retention.

7.) Experience “job training” for your position as a leader with workshops focused on the database, financial management and USPC insurance program coverage.

8.) Engage in dialog with representatives from Instruction and the National Examiners about the upper-level testing program.

9.) Help celebrate 50 and 25-year anniversaries with 12 clubs who are receiving this honor and be inspired by their longevity on the way to your own benchmark.
10.) Master those pesky policies once and for all — whether you’re a local or regional leader, help will be available.

11.) Meet and greet Teresa Woods, USPC’s new Executive Director — how great would it be to overwhelm her with Pony Club Love?

12.) Most importantly, gather with your peers — the DCs, CAs and RSs from across the country — to share successes, concerns, support and friendship!
Don’t forget that on-line registration is available until 12 p.m. ET on Jan. 6, 2015, so make your plans to attend now! Please visit the USPC website for registration and Symposium information.

Announcing medical armbands and bracelets USPC Policy # 0128
Starting Jan. 1, 2015, USPC Policy# 0218 will be in effect which allows for the use of medical bracelets in addition to the medical armbands. Either an armband or a bracelet will be acceptable, provided that the Bracelet meets the following criteria:

The Bracelets must visibly list five items of information on them:
  • Name and date of birth
  • Emergency contact information
  • Known allergies
  • Current medications
  • Existing medical conditions
Any brand of bracelet that will allow for these five items to be on the face of it is acceptable. If you cannot fit all of this information on the face of the bracelet then you must use the USPC medical release in the armband instead.

Emergency medical personnel expect that the above items of information be immediately available on site. It is time consuming for the first responder to contact the Internet during an emergency. It eats up valuable time, in addition to the fact that the Internet is not always available at Pony Club functions. The Safety Committee has planned a workshop for the Annual Meeting to further introduce this policy.
