Second Annual LGBTQ+ Real Estate Report
The LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance, one of the nation’s leading LGBTQ+ trade organizations with more than 2,200 members, has unveiled its second annual LGBTQ+ Real Estate Report, which found that while Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) efforts and marketing towards the LGBTQ+ community have gained traction, unconscious bias and blatant discrimination remain all too common in the real estate industry.

2022 Supporting Women of Real Estate Grant
Local and state REALTOR® associations can now apply for the Women’s Council of REALTORS®’ 2022 Supporting Women of Real Estate grants, which help to organize a one-day conference around women’s leadership in real estate. Ten grants of $2,500 each will be awarded, with winners selected in June.

The top real estate markets attracting out-of-state buyers

As home buyers explore ways to up their odds of success in the face of intensifying cost pressures, new research indicates that interest in relocating is on the rise. In the first quarter of 2022, 40.5% of prospective buyers on Realtor.com viewed home listings outside of their current state, compared to 36.4% in 2021 and 33.4% in 2020.

As of mid-April 2022, the number of active listings for homes was down 22% for the year, according to the National Association of Realtors.
