Do Pinot Noir blends exist?
VinePair
Pinot Noir is seldom known to share the spotlight. Aside from accompanying Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay in Champagnes, it’s rarely blended in still wines. Other grapes like Zinfandel, Merlot and Shiraz often make an appearance in red blends — why doesn’t Pinot Noir play well with others?

What is a boilermaker?
Wine Enthusiast
A boilermaker is about as simple as a cocktail gets. Traditionally, a boilermaker is defined as a shot of liquor, usually whiskey, served alongside or sometimes in a beer. It remains a very popular drink, thanks in part to the infinite pairing possibilities between whiskey and beer styles.

2 coastal California wine regions finally get their official due
The Washington Post
Mention wine country and we tend to think of valleys. Northern California has Napa Valley, Sonoma Valley, Alexander and Anderson valleys, the Russian River Valley and the Green Valley of the Russian River Valley, just to name a few. Oregonians go rogue when they need a change of pace from the more famous Willamette Valley, and Washingtonians can gorge themselves on wine from the Columbia Valley.

SFist
That pesky “bona fide” meal requirement for to-go cocktails could be 86’ed under proposed revisions to California’s carry-out cocktail rules, as the state senate just unanimously approved an expansion of legal to-go booze sales. That temporary relief measure would be extended through 2021, but new rules took effect on January 1, 2022 that watered down your to-go cocktail rights.
