PGO thanks Fasken’s lawyers, Shane Todd and Justin P’ng for their webinar presentation on "Managing the Pandemic: Issues for Employers." The webinar was well received. PGO also thanks C of A holders, licensees and all other attendees for their participation in this online event. Shane and Justin touched on federal relief programs available for employers and employees, workforce reduction options, requirements and restrictions for employers operating during the pandemic and what comes next after the pandemic. When asked what are the lessons that employers should make note of from this pandemic, Shane and Justin highlighted the importance of business continuity planning, investment in a solid information technology infrastructure, and putting in place sound policies such as communicable illness policy and work from home policy to better prepare the workforce and mitigate the effects of a worst-case scenario.
