Living the Woman-Owned American Dream
Founded in 1975 and based in Prince George’s County Maryland, Gray Graphics is a woman owned and minority certified print industry leader. In its 42 years of business, Gray Graphics has evolved from a single person operation to a full service communications provider ranked as high as 5th by the U.S. by the Government Publishing Office. Gray Graphics has developed a reputation for reliability and customer service that is backed by numerous women in a variety of leadership positions, starting with CEO Amal Helal who states that her biggest accomplishment as a business owner “was creating an environment in which she was able to cultivate opportunities for hardworking individuals."

Amal placed her greatest emphasis on "fostering an environment that is cohesive and supports the growth of women in management." Today Gray Graphics is fortunate to have a number of key management roles filled by talented women including Roberta Thompson (Project Management Supervisor) and Amal Abouassali (Bindery Manager) helping to grow the influence of the company and its reputation as not only woman owned but also a woman-operated business.

The emphasis set on empowering women in business by Gray Graphics CEO has encouraged these women to pursue their careers, chase their dreams, and become dependable forces in the industry. Gray Graphics is living proof that the American dream is still alive, that women can find success in the business world, and that women do not have to sacrifice their families to realize professional achievement.
