CEMA submits natural gas brief to state Supreme Court

On Tuesday, CEMA submitted a brief to the state Supreme Court concerning our lawsuit that claims that the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) failed to comply with the Connecticut Environmental Policy Act (CEPA). CEPA requires that any project proposed by the state that could cause significant environmental damage is required to perform an environmental impact evaluation (EIE). To read the brief, click here. The Sierra Club and the Conservation Law Foundation has expressed interest in filing an amicus briefs in support of our lawsuit. Both organizations are going through a legal review of all the court documents pertaining to the case. They have until March 7th to file.
