Nominations are open for Marketer of the Year and Vendor of the Year
CEMA annually honors a marketer and vendor with these prestigious awards, to be given out during our Annual Meeting which will be held in conjunction with the Southern New England Energy Conference Sept. 12-13 in Newport, Rhode Island. The awards themselves will be presented during the Awards Luncheon on Sept. 12.
Marketer of the Year
The association has been honoring a marketer with this award for over 60 years. The recipient shall be a civic-minded industry leader; and shall have helped frame/support/initiate national, state and/or regional issues that promote and/or protect our industry. This leader shall be a CEMA member in good standing who abides by the association's code of conduct, the highest ethical standards in the industry.
Recipients of the award over the past five years include: 2011 Rick Bologna, Westmore Fuel; 2012 Jamie Lohr, Guardian Energy; 2013 Steve Rosentel, Leahy's Fuels; 2014 Kate Childs, Tuxis Ohr's and Julie Roman, Roman Oil; 2015 Sharon Peterson, Apple Oil.
Vendor of the Year
This award is presented to an industry supplier, in the broadest sense. This includes wholesale suppliers and vendors in such fields as transportation, finance, insurance, law, and information. Such vendors need to have gone beyond their routine practice of selling goods and services to marketers, to aiding and being a resource for the industry as a whole, in Connecticut, regionally and/or nationally.
Recipients of this award over the past five years include: 2011 Peter Krajsa, AFC First Financial; 2012 Paul Nazzaro, Advanced Fuel Solutions; 2013 Alan White, C. White & Sons; 2014 Joyce Porto, Inland Fuel Terminals; 2015 Brian Freeman, Robinson and Cole.
We welcome your nominations for consideration by the association. Nominations need to be submitted for either of these awards, or both, explaining why you think the nominee(s) should receive it. Your nomination should be emailed by Friday, Sept. 2, to Chris Herb, by email, to firstname.lastname@example.org.
