Spring Hazmat classes including new Stamford offering

CEMA has announced its spring hazmat classes, providing certification at the Awareness level, and re-certification at the Operations level, as described below. Hazmat training is required annually under OSHA statute 29 CFR 1910.1200 and every three years under DOT statute 49 CFR 172.704. We offer OSHA hazmat training at two levels, as described below — Awareness and Operations. DOT training is included at both these levels and includes topics such as placarding, making deliveries of hazardous materials, and proper shipping paperwork. Our remaining classes this spring follow, including a new Awareness class in Stamford, for the convenience of members in Fairfield County.
  • OSHA/DOT Awareness Certification, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 10
The Awareness Certification is the minimum level of training for employees who may come into contact with any hazardous materials, including all petroleum products. This session includes mandatory DOT hazmat training required for all truck drivers. Register online here.

  • NEW: STAMFORD OSHA/DOT Awareness Certification, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 11
The Awareness Certification is the minimum level of training for employees who may come into contact with any hazardous materials, including all petroleum products. This session includes mandatory DOT hazmat training required for all truck drivers.
