UST seminar — Aug. 23
From 9 to 11 a.m. Aug. 23 at the CEMA offices located at 10 Alcap Ridge in Cromwell, we will hold a seminar covering the new regulations that allow certain USTs at gas stations obtain a 10-year extension before they have to be removed. The first presenter will be Pete Zack of the Dept. of Energy and Environmental Protection who wrote the regs; you will learn what tanks are eligible for the extension, how those tanks need to be upgraded to qualify and what paperwork needs to be processed with DEEP. There will follow a discussion by a panel of engineers who will discuss implementation of these regulations including what upgrades need to be done. For tanks not eligible, they will discuss tank replacement. This will be especially valuable to single station dealers who have not experienced tank replacement yet. To encourage dealer participation, the member price of $49 per attendee is extended to dealers of CEMA members. You can register online here. Please note payment in advance is required for nonmember dealers.
