The public cost of health-care waiting lists
The Globe and Mail
This story will sound all too familiar to the many Canadians suffering from what our health care system labels "non-urgent" maladies. And at that point, he made a comment that seemed startling but, upon reflection, intuitively sensible. Most men, he said, incur 90 per cent of all the health-care expenses they'll incur in their lives within their last year or so.
