Registration Process
I am wondering if anyone has experience developing a Project Based Learning Program for teens in an after-school setting. We currently have a drop-in format but are seeing that the teens do not seem engaged in our program and are getting into trouble elsewhere. I see a lot of nonprofit organizations that use project based learning in their programs but I am wondering if anyone has implemented them in a public agency like a city or special district. Thanks!

Playing with emotions — Play avoidance syndrome
Play and Playground News Center
One of the key characteristics of play is its spontaneity. Play arises from our innermost core and is expressed without filters. Our emotions, generally joy, are right out front, visible for all the world to see. We are, in these intense moments, very vulnerable; it's easy to "look the fool." Each of us has a threshold for this sort of exposure.

High levels of methane gas found in Ontario park's drainage system
CTV News
With two weeks to go before the biggest event Kitchener's McLennan Park has ever hosted, a new problem has been found at the site — methane gas. That may not seem like much of a surprise, given that the park was built overtop a former landfill, but the problem is where it was found. Specifically, high methane levels were detected in a drainage pipe at the site — meaning the gas was in turn being released into the atmosphere
