Long-time CPRS member, Corner Gas veteran receives honorary degree
CPRS
She has received acclaim as a professional communicator, performer, public speaker, writer and director over a career spanning more than 60 years. Now Jean Freeman APR, FCPRS (H) LM can add Doctor of Fine Arts to her list of titles and achievements.

The University of Regina awarded Freeman the honorary degree at its Spring Convocation on June 6. In doing so, it recognized a true renaissance woman who has contributed greatly to arts, culture and community in her home province of Saskatchewan.

Elle a été reconnue comme communicatrice professionnelle, interprète, conférencière, auteure et réalisatrice au fil des plus de 60 années de sa carrière. Maintenant, Jean Freeman ARP, FSCRP (H) LM peut ajouter le titre de Docteur ès Beaux-arts à sa liste de distinctions et de réalisations.

L'Université de Regina a décerné à Mme Freeman ce diplôme honorifique à l'occasion de sa remise des diplômes du printemps, le 6 juin dernier. Ce faisant, l'université reconnaît une véritable femme de la renaissance qui a largement contribué aux arts, à la culture et à la collectivité dans sa province natale de la Saskatchewan.

Annual CPRS National Awards Gala Recognizes Best in Canadian Public Relations

The Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) celebrated excellence in the public relations and communications field during the 2014 CPRS National Awards Gala in Banff, AB on May 27. CPRS presented a total of 32 Awards of Excellence to the best public relations and communications management teams from across Canada. This year's Awards of Excellence include 10 gold awards, 11 silver and 11 bronze in 12 categories.

Renault has axed its branded content network Renault TV as part of a consolidation drive, which has left question marks over the future status of its partner Publicis Entertainment, The Drum understands. Publicis Entertainment, the branded content arm of Publicis Groupe, was created five years ago to bridge the gap between advertising, content creation and distribution and has since worked closely with Renault and its Paris headquarters on Renault TV.

Going to lunch with them helped, but it was not scaleable.
