Still Time to Register Onsite — We welcome onsite registrations at the Assembly. The Onsite registration rate is $630 USD for Members and $759 USD for Nonmembers. Click here for assembly details.
Presenter Handouts for the Scientific Assembly — Registered attendees can access the session handouts by logging into the IAFN Member community, and clicking on the 20th Annual Scientific Assembly Community Library. Handouts are organized by the day of the week that the session will take place at the Assembly and then under the title of the actual session.
For example:
The handouts for Sexual Assault According to Who? are in the Wednesday folder. Handouts posted online will not be distributed in hard copy at the Assembly, so attendees that wish to have a paper copy should print them out prior to their arrival in Puerto Rico. Additional handouts will be added as they become available. Click here for more information.

National Girls Institute releases findings of Listening Sessions on Needs

The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention has partnered with the National Council on Crime and Delinquency Center for Girls and Young Women to create the National Girls Institute. The purpose of the NGI is to provide training and technical assistance to prevention, intervention, treatment, and aftercare programs for at-risk and delinquent girls across the nation. In addition to training and technical assistance, the institute will disseminate information; collaborate with researchers and program developers; form partnerships with federal, state, tribal, and local agencies; and develop policy.

When the Violence Against Women Act was passed in 1994, on the heels of the O.J. Simpson trial, women across this country won a major victory that shifted the tide toward prevention and signaled that domestic violence was everyone's fight, not just one for victims, survivors, and the organizations struggling to help them.
