For those who have to be creative on demand, stories of the ancient Greeks' muses or Newton's apple don't offer much practical advice on how to have a eureka moment of their own. Long walks or hot showers may be where we think out best ideas come from, but those are hardly available options in the middle of a crowded workday. Luckily, research has given us some insight into how eureka moments happen — and how to make them happen more often.

American Leather and Ultrasuede will Co-host an Accredited Designer Event That will focus on color research at April High Point Market

Interior designers will earn credit for participating in a High Point Market event co-sponsored by American Leather and Ultrasuede(R). The V.I.P. designer reception and educational presentation on Mon., April 7, begins at 5:45 p.m. in the upholstery manufacturer’s showroom, located on the 5th floor of the Showplace building.

The hour-long presentation, entitled "Boost Your Color I.Q.: Design Intelligence for Client Projects," begins promptly at 6:30 p.m., featuring Sally Augustin, Ph.D., principal, Design With Science. Accreditation for the presentation awarded by the IDCEC equates to .1 CEU credit for participants. Reservations are required for the limited seating event:

"It was dream come true for my clients since they always wanted to live in an house with a lot of character," says Mauro Brigham, the designer who developed the project's concept.
