The Interior Design Society (IDS) announced Anna Mavrakis, past president of IDS, as the recipient of its Fellowship Award at the ceremony concluding IDS National Conference on Friday, April 1. Becoming an IDS Fellow is the highest honor that can be awarded to a member and is only bestowed every few years when there is a member worthy of such an honor. Achieving the distinction of IDS Fellowship recognizes individual interior designers for outstanding accomplishments in their profession and for providing a significant contribution to IDS. The award was presented to Mavrakis by IDS National President, Jan Cregier.
We are working on an #idsIMPACT project for Center for Animal Research and Education (CARE) in Bridgeport, TX with IDS designers Traci Connell, Traci Connell Interiors and Barbara Gilbert, Barbara Gilbert Interiors. Derek Krahn, Director of Operations, or better known as Big Cat Derek, has generated awareness about CARE through his social media pages (specifically Vine, Twitter, Instagram and his YouTube webcast). This #idsIMPACT project received a special feature on his latest Web cast. Check it out!
