Kid-Friendly Interior Design: How Far Is Too Far?
Curbed National
Among all the color-coded bookshelves, TVs hung above fireplaces, and other played-out decor trends, one persistent source of interior design drama and intrigue has to do with kids, particularly the notion that outfitting a home with super whimsical features will surely delight the youngest residents. From tunnel slides to multiple floors of netting, there is a lot folks can do to render their abodes more like stylish McDonald's PlayPlaces (or really, in this day and age, the hippest wackiest tech company offices.) Anyway, these fun-focused decor maneuvers popping up with varying degrees of ridiculousness got us asking: have design-minded parents gone off the deep end?

Celebrity Homes: Wolfgang Puck
Architectural Digest
Celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck's classic California home is on the market. The Mediterranean-style villa is set in the serene yet centrally located Flats of Beverly Hills, between Sunset and Santa Monica Boulevards. Design Management Company
Recent surveys of homeowners who have undertaken remodeling, renovation or building projects in the past year – or who plan to do so within the next year – show clients are often turning to providers of professional services for advice. They view the designer less as a project director and more as a contributor – one of many they may choose to work with.

Atlanta Interior Designer Masters The Art Of Simplicity
There's nothing simple about being simple. That's what Atlanta's Nancy Braithwaite learned early in her interior design career from fashion designer icon Coco Chanel. From there, Braithwaite discovered the seven principles of fashion. As it turns out, fashion is a lot easier to understand than interior design, for just about everyone. So she translated those principles of fashion into design in a talk she's taken all over the country.

What Kind of Design Triggers Healing — in Designers?
Overwhelming evidence shows that biophilic environments, both natural and artificial, exert a healing effect on the human body. This healing process also acts by association on the designer’s own body when he or she is creating biophilic design. The opposite effect is also predictable: designing and building biophobic structures is pathological.
