Wow, today was an amazing day! Our group spent the majority of our time today at the Maison&Objet show - it's the reason we're here, after all. We saw lots of amazing things at Maison&Objet. Everyone agreed that this show is much different from those in the US that we are used to. The show was very easy to navigate - the trick was following what they call the "red carpet" - which is literally a red strip of carpet that will help you wind around all of the halls.

Bonjour from Paris! Today was our last official day as a group and we soaked up every minute. Today's highlight (and possibly the highlight from the whole trip) was our journey through the Paris Flea Markets. The Paris Flea Markets have been around for almost a century. They cover over 20 acres and consist of 11 different markets. They receive between 120,000 and 180,000 visitors each weekend! These are not your typical flea markets - many booths are full of vintage Channel, beautiful antiques, and one-of-a-kind artwork.

Designers are great at taking an empty room and making it sing, but they often don’t know how to get that finished space in front of as many eyeballs as possible. Some outsource that job to a publicist. For others, PR feels too intangible to make it worth the often pricey monthly fee of a pro. With the litany of tasks and costs that come with running a business, should you prioritize hiring professional publicity?

One of the biggest successes in interior design in recent years has been the recognition that the design of healthcare interiors can have a significant impact on patient experience and, consequently, health outcomes. For more than two decades, research and case studies have documented various ways in which patient-centered improvements to the interior environment can make positive contributions to patients’ physiological and psychological health. Over time, the list has grown as investigators, building on previous research, have explored patients’ responses in a variety of healthcare settings more deeply.

About 10 years ago, Eisen started staging her listings and found that they sold more quickly. "At that time, it was a very rare art form," she explains. "As I started becoming successful, other brokers and sellers took note and asked if I would stage their listings, as well. It very quickly became the main focus of my business, and eventually I just stopped selling real estate altogether. After about two years, I incorporated and launched my business."
