 Southeastern Underdeck Systems recently received the Builder Remodeler Expo's Best Booth Award in the 100-square-foot category. BRExpo is the east coast's meeting place for the building and remodeling industry. Held at the Cobb Galleria Centre, the trade show brought together builders, designers, remodelers, and others who sell and service the residential building industry.
Owner Heath Bowman says Southeastern Underdeck Systems exhibits in 15 trade shows each year. The Buford-based company operates in Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, South Carolina and North Carolina.

Structural Design Topics in Wood Construction is the subject of a three-day continuing education course to be offered May 16-18 in Roanoke, Virginia. Sponsored by American Wood Council, Virginia Building and Code Officials Association, and Virginia Tech University, this course (16 contact hours) includes 14 specific topics judged to have practical valuable for building design professionals and the building code community. The course includes three units specific to deck and balcony construction.
