NADRA New Jersey Chapter Deck for a Soldier update NADRA Share ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Our amazing NADRA members have donated ALL of the material! A special thank you to AZEK, Niece Lumber, Phoenix Mfg, Railing Dynamics, Wolf Distributing, Techno Metal Post of Northern New Jersey! So now it is up to our fabulous volunteers to "get 'er done!" What better way to give back then swinging the hammer, carrying a few boards, and a little blood, sweat, and tears to show how much we value our fellow American and all that he has sacrificed to keep our country free! With a lot of teamwork (and some very skilled NADRA members), we should be in and out of this job in no time. I thank you all of you whom have responded so quickly about donating material and labor and look forward to working with you next week! It is quite an honor to work on this project as well as to work with such giving people in our industry! Those whom have volunteered to help thus far (please let me know which day(s)/time you are able and willing to give us):
Thank you all again, Jen Sheridan NJ Chapter D4S Chair Cell: 732-567-5555

Wood decks are rapidly being replaced by plastic, aluminum and other man-made decking materials, which are prized for their easy maintenance. Builders are making decks into showpieces, with multiple levels, custom railing and other perks. Even wood is getting an upgrade, with some buyers seeking out rare, tropical hardwoods for their durability. More
Curb appeal: Porches, decks add pizzazz to any home Midland Daily News Share ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A front porch can be cool place to enjoy a warm summer evening or it can simply be an inviting entrance to your home, adding a little pizzazz to the curb appeal. Whether you dress it up with a hot pink wicker chair, gauzy curtains or an old-fashioned, hanging wooden swing - just like the kind grandma had - the porch offers a space to entertain guests or a quiet oasis for sipping iced tea at dusk. More Construction spending in US climbs for third straight month Bloomberg Share ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Construction spending in the U.S. rose in June for a third consecutive month, led by a gain in nonresidential building, including factories, communications plants and commercial structures. The 0.2 percent increase followed a revised 0.3 percent gain in May that was previously reported as a drop, Commerce Department figures showed in Washington. The median estimate of economists in a Bloomberg News survey projected a 0.1 percent increase. More Remodeling remains robust in ailing real estate market Consumer Reports Share ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() An upward bounce in a popular remodeling index shows that homeowners are going ahead with remodeling projects despite the dismal real estate market. In fact, BuildFax says that remodeling projects were up across the country in May continuing a 19-month trend. "Even with the continued struggles in the economy, the remodeling industry has been a bright spot, as consumers look to make upgrades to their current homes, rather than purchasing a new residence," said Joe Emison, Vice President of Research and Development at BuildFax.
