Health officials have confirmed a sixth case of Legionnaires' disease contracted at a Round Rock hotel.
The sixth person diagnosed with the bacterial infection was a recent guest at SpringHill Suites by Marriott and is in the hospital, said John Teel, the executive director of Williamson County and Cities Health District.
Investigators also are studying reports from 20 people who contracted a respiratory illness while they were staying at the hotel this summer or after they got home, but they were not diagnosed with Legionnaires’ disease, Teel said.
