Clinical social workers are reporting problems when using the 60-minute psychotherapy code. Learn how to avoid overpayment requests and reimbursement denials when using this code.
On October 1, 2018, several changes to the International Classification of Diseases-10-Edition-Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM) became effective. The changes allow clinical social workers to provide a greater level of specificity when reporting a diagnosis. Clinical social workers should use the new codes to avoid reimbursement denials.
