Deadline Extended for JAT Editorial Office Location RFP

NATA has extended the deadline to respond to its request for proposals for housing of the Journal of Athletic Training editorial office. The new deadline is Aug. 15 to submit a letter of interest and Sept. 1 to submit a proposal. The goal of this request for proposals is to identify an institution (i.e., university, teaching hospital or health care foundation) with a demonstrated record of achievement in athletic training education and research that is interested in housing the JAT editorial office. Subsequent ACL injuries Linked To Pre-Injury Cartilage Biomarkers

Army researchers made a surprising discovery while examining the impact of an anterior cruciate ligament tear, on four serum biomarkers associated with cartilage health. The researchers found that pre-injury concentrations for all but one of the four serum biomarkers studied were associated with the subsequent likelihood of ACL injury. The findings were presented at the annual meeting of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. More

Mandatory Test Tracks High School Concussions

High School Students Battle Heat as Sports, Band Practice Begins
