St. Francis basketball coach Todd Wolfson is using Twitter to offer life lessons
Los Angeles Times
The most valuable item in Todd Wolfson’s basketball office at La Cañada Flintridge St. Francis High is his mini-refrigerator packed with Perrier and Pellegrino. He always allows guests to quench their thirst on a hot day. The man knows his stuff.
Wolfson is also a very good high school basketball coach, having won a state title with West Hills Chaminade in 2014 and a regional title with St. Francis in 2020.
At 37, he’s straddling Millennials and Generation Z, making him perfectly suited to be Southern California’s newest advice specialist.

CT Insider
Jackie DiNardo has taken on many roles with the Danbury public school system during the past 35 years: Principal, teacher, counselor, and, of course, a Hall of Fame coach with the Hatters' girls basketball team.
Now, DiNardo will be taking on a role she calls "a perfect fit" - that of academic counselor for Danbury’s athletes, a job made possible by a $25,000 grant obtained through the Athlife Foundation.
The position is designed to help athletes maintain and improve grades, work towards gaining credits for graduation, and navigate the NCAA and college recruiting waters.

After Supreme Court backs praying coach, no sweeping changes
The Associated Press
Across the ideological spectrum, there were predictions of dramatic consequences when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of a public high school football coach’s right to pray on the field after games.
Yet three months after the decision — and well into the football season — there’s no sign that large numbers of coaches have been newly inspired to follow Joseph Kennedy’s high-profile example.

Not only is this behavior unacceptable and embarrassing, but it’s also having serious consequences on the future of high school sports.
