Stormwater Design Review Course: Training classes in April and May
New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection
The Stormwater Design Review Course is being scheduled once again as a four-part online training course, free of charge, beginning at the end of this month. This four-part training will include four three-hour modules over the course of four separate days.
NJDEP has scheduled training classes for Tuesday, April 27; Thursday, April 29; Tuesday, May 4; and Thursday, May 6. Classes will take place from 1-4 p.m. on each day noted. Each class will take place online through Microsoft Teams.
If you plan to attend the online course, you need to email your confirmation with your first and last name and your affiliation to this email address. Be sure to forward a copy of your enrollment confirmation (and certificate once the class is completed) to your stormwater program coordinator(s) as the permits require the SPPP be updated to include the name(s) and dates of the training program participants.

Construction group launches 'Roll Up Your Sleeves' campaign to encourage vaccinations among contractors

California construction trade association United Contractors last week launched "Roll Up Your Sleeves" — an informational campaign designed to promote COVID-19 vaccination across the construction industry. The campaign began in response to reports indicating construction has one of the lowest rates of workers willing to be vaccinated in the U.S. Research published in February indicated just 53% of construction workers would be willing to get vaccinated, numbers that are in line with a recent Construction Dive survey on the topic.
