New Jersey offshore wind project costs questioned

New Jersey’s decision to invest more than $500 million in infrastructure for offshore wind projects that will require the state to pay higher prices for energy to a foreign company is being questioned by the president of Garden State Initiative.
New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy announced on April 28 that the New Jersey Economic Development Authority signed a Letter of Intent with Ørsted Offshore North America for New Jersey’s first offshore wind project, Ocean Wind 1, according to a release from his office.
