In its comments, ACA encouraged the Working Group to focus on policies that address significant risks of harm, are supported by evidence to increase safety and security, and do not create unintended consequences or burdens on affected chemical facilities

ACA Files Amicus Brief in U.S. Supreme Court in Petition for Cert in CTS Corporation v. Peter Waldburger, et al.
ACA's brief supports U.S. Supreme Court petitioner CTS Corporation, in a case arguing that the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals erroneously interpreted the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA, commonly known as "Superfund") Section 309 to eviscerate federal preemption language and the effect of state statutes of repose for products' manufacturers.

SCAQMD to Begin Major Amendment to Coatings VOC Rules
California's South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) is authorized to regulate air pollution from stationary sources in the South Coast Air Basin, which includes all of Orange County; and the non-desert regions of Los Angeles and Los Angeles County, San Bernardino County, and Riverside County.
