ACA Members, Register Today for a Labeling Guide Supplement Seminar: May 19-20 and June 23-24
ACA will host two one-and-a-half day seminars for its members to guide them through the association's recently released Advance Supplement to the 6th Edition of the Labeling Guide and help them revise their labels. The seminars will be held May 19-20 in Baltimore, Md., and June 23-24 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Court of Appeals Rules SEC Conflict Minerals Rule Violates First Amendment
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit rejected the National Association of Manufacturers' (NAM) argument that the SEC rule was arbitrary and capricious in failing to properly weigh the costs and benefits, but concluded that the rule — and possibly Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act pursuant to which the rule was enacted — violated the First Amendment in requiring companies to report to the SEC and disclose on their websites if any of their products have "not been found to be 'DRC conflict free.'"

ACA Attends OEHHA Pre-Regulatory Public Workshop on Prop 65 Warnings
The stated purpose of the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment's (OEHHA) proposed changes to Prop 65 is to improve the quality of Prop 65 warnings while providing both flexibility and certainty for businesses. OEHHA says that the proposed revisions are intended to further the "right to know" purposes of Prop 65 by making warning labels "clear and reasonable" to the public.
