PHMSA Issues Notice on International Standards Enforcement
The DOT Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Administration (PHMSA) notice provides temporary enforcement discretion while the agency continues to consider adopting updated editions of the ICAO Technical Instructions and IMDG Code into the U.S. Hazardous Materials Regulations.

ACA Member Webinar: Update on Global Restrictions on Lead Use in Paint
This one-hour webinar on Oct. 22 at 1:00 pm (EDT) will provide an update on the United Nations Global Alliance to Eliminate Lead Paint, also known as the Lead Paint Alliance, to establish legal restriction on lead use in paint. The effort, supported by paint industry trade associations around the world, has found the World Coatings Council working alongside UN Environment, the World Health Organization, advocacy NGOs, and others to bring about change. ACA Member Webinar: Cool Roof Rating Council Wall Rating Standard Use in Paint
This one-hour webinar on Nov. 12 at 1:00 pm (EDT) provide an update on the Cool Roof Rating Council’s (CRRC) development of a radiative performance rating program for exterior wall products — the Wall Rating Standard — which will be based large extent on its current Cool Roof Standard. The Wall Rating Standard will measure the solar reflectance of wall products, and it is likely that green building standards and building codes will include a reference to the final Wall Rating Standard and minimum wall reflectance requirements.
