PHMSA Requests Comments on Incident Data Collection and Use
ACA filed a petition with DOT's Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration in July 2010 requesting that the agency initiate a new rulemaking in order to except paint and paint-related materials in PG II in packagings of five gallons or less from the DOT Form 5800.1 reporting, and modify the Hazardous Materials Incident Report Form 5800.1 and Guidance, in order to gather more accurate and meaningful data. More
