Mammography is less sensitive for early cancer detection in dense breasts. Studies show the cancer detection rate of mammography to be about 56% for density C, and about 30% for density D breasts. Molecular Breast Imaging (MBI) efficiently depicts cancer with high sensitivity, specificity, PPV and NPV in dense breasts.
