SIM's Think Tank for Strategic CIOs: The Advanced Practices Council
SIM
If you are CIO of a company eager to invest in its competitive future, consider joining SIM’s
Advanced Practices Council, an exclusive think tank of strategic CIOs, CTOs and CDOs from
companies such as Penske, J&J, Allstate, Campbell Soup, Aquent, Pfizer, Federal
Reserve, GSTV, PDC Energy, K. Hovnanian, National Life, Armstrong Building
Products, Varsity Brands, ConocoPhillips, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Covanta.
The Advanced Practices Council is a unique peer network that sponsors practical research from
leading researchers worldwide on topics that members select. Researchers include top
professors at Harvard Business School, MIT, IMD in Switzerland, and Northwestern
University. As an example, Dr. Lynda Applegate of HBS works closely with me to design and
deliver, with her colleagues, one Advanced Practices Council program each year. Advanced
Practices Council members learn from these exceptional thinkers and researchers and explore
together how they can apply the findings and insights. Members then share lessons learned -
the good, bad, and ugly.
Do you want to experience our unique think tank yourself? Come as our guest to the February
9-10, 2023 meeting in Atlanta to “try before you buy.” Topics will include:
- Developing and Measuring Digital Maturity (Dr. Gerald Kane, Univ. of Georgia)
- Scaling AI and Analytics (Dr. Amit Joshi, IMD)
- Governing Digital Transformation Across the Enterprise (Dr. Didier Bonnet, IMD)
- Edge Computing (Dr. Mudhakar Srivatsa, IBM).
Click here to read why members continue to renew their memberships in the Advanced
Practices Council.
We cap our membership at 40 senior technology and data executives to keep the program
intimate, exclusive and private. We don't have sponsors and our meetings are always SALES-
FREE.
Contact Madeline Weiss, Advanced Practices Council Director at Madeline.Weiss@simnet.org to RSVP.
