From the Desk of the Director of Meetings and Exhibits
Two years ago, we were in the exciting phase of preparing for IMSH 2020 in San Diego. Little did we know Covid-19 was brewing and we would not meet again in person after that for two long years.
However, now IMSH 2022 is ready. The world is ready. And, Los Angeles is ready to reunite, connect, and advance with welcoming IMSH 2022.
While so much has changed since we last met, we've been busy creating the ultimate expo and meeting experience for simulation processionals. Based on early registration returns — with more than 1,300 at this point — Healthcare Simulation professionals are more eager than ever to reconvene at the world's premier healthcare simulation education learning event and meet face-to-face on the show floor of the world's largest expo dedicated specifically to healthcare simulation!
IMSH Simulation faculty is ready! IMSH exhibitors are ready! All we need to add is you!
I mentioned Los Angeles … all measures are in place to make this a safe and enjoyable meeting. IMSH will take place in the beautiful Los Angeles Convention Center, located on the Los Angeles Convention Campus. Few convention campuses are as diversely remarkable as the one in downtown Los Angeles.
IMSH official hotels are within easy walking distance to the center, shopping, museums, and entertainment all located within the campus. If a dinner and conversation and reconnecting is your desire, more than 300+ diverse and delicious nearby restaurants await welcoming you. The world-renowned LA complex is branded LA LIVE and has so much to offer as a complement to your IMSH experience.
It's time to get back to our senses.
The sense of sight ... the sense of hearing ... the sense of touch ... it's all a part of being there!
IMSH 2022, Jan. 15-19, 2022, in Los Angeles, is gearing up in a huge way for you!
Join your colleagues for an unprecedented reunion full of exciting experiences and enlightening interactions. We look forward to welcoming you to sunny and warm Los Angeles in January! And, if you still need to get registered, start at imsh2022.org!
See you soon!

How AI will make your doctor smarter
The Wall Street Journal
From suicide prevention to infection tracking, the U.S. military is applying the latest technology to a host of medical challenges. Hassan Tetteh has one of the coolest-sounding jobs in medicine. His official title is Warfighter Health Mission Chief for the Department of Defense Joint Artificial Intelligence Center. The Pentagon established the JAIC, or "Jake" as he pronounces it, in 2018 to ensure that America's combat operations don't fall behind rivals in using machine learning to enhance troop readiness, cybersecurity, joint maneuvers and "lethality."
