From the Desk of the Director of Marketing
Hello to you!
This week, with so much happening in SSH, I'm happy to have a chance to bring up mindfulness.
Being in the present and being able to lock in consciously on the things happening around us is such an important tool in today's super busy world. In fact, it can be a real gamechanger in managing those instances when we feel overwhelmed by or disconnected from the people and events around us.
Believing in the practice of mindfulness as much as I do, I was excited to see an upcoming webinar on Monday, Dec. 20, 7-8 p.m. (ET), from the SSH Mindfulness Affinity Group. "Neurographic Art," presented by Esmira Yusufova, will explore an art form that helps people transform internally by removing limiting beliefs and replacing them with new desired views.
This training aims to introduce simulation educators to an easy and accessible technique to help in personal growth. Furthermore, educators can use the technique as part of debriefing to help learners overcome emotions and limiting beliefs.
It's an incredibly interesting concept, and I know Edwin Ozawa, Mindfulness Affinity Group Chair, would love to have all SSH members attend. All you need to do is bring paper, markers of all colors (no pencils), and a belief or a problem you want to overcome.

Printed 'skin' hastens healing, lessens scarring
AI in Healthcare
Researchers have demonstrated the 3D bioprinting of artificial human skin so lifelike it can quickly fuse with damaged tissue from the surface through the midlevel and into the underlying fatty layer. The technology holds promise to speed wound healing and reduce scarring, the team suggests in a study published online Nov. 30 in APL Bioengineering.
