I'm a Vietnam veteran and hope I would never have to go to any place ran by our government, much less treated by it.

Contributing factors: Travel, finding someone to drive, seeing a doctor once every six months or visit the va-er, still travel, Va doctors do not look at other reports, confer with other doctors or even know enough about you to even give and opion. Test are necessary and I do agree that civilian doctors sometimes over test, but VA doctors don't consider test until it is to late.

If getting an appointment is quicker than when an appointment is available at VA, yes. The long waits for appointments is outrageous at VA especially when it involves seeing specialty clinics.
