Two IAPSC members are finalists for Outstanding Global Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) for the first time being presented in the U.S. during ASIS in Orlando. The awards honor security industry professionals, in-house teams, and organizations for industry excellence and achievement. IAPSC-member finalists are:

The awards will be presented on the evening of Wednesday, September 14. IAPSC has reserved a table for IAPSC members who plan to attend the event, and there are a few seats left. France, on edge with fears of a new terror attack, continues to cancel festive and sports events for security reasons, most recently the famed an annual flea market Braderie de Lille and a European cycling competition in Nice.
Lille Mayor Martine Aubry announced on Friday the cancellation of the Sept. 3-4 flea market, which draws visitors from around France to the northern city to hunt for bargains and eat mussels, a regional specialty.

There will be 1 million to 2 million unfilled cybersecurity jobs worldwide by 2019, according to a recent report released by Intel Security called "Hacking the Skills Shortage." The report includes the results of a survey of 775 IT decision-makers involved with security, 82 percent of whom reported a lack of cybersecurity skills within their business.
