NAC
The next semester to participate in the NAC Online Concession Certification Management (CCM) Program will begin on August 28. Those interested in taking the class will need to get registered by that date. The course costs $650. Those passing the exam at the end of the course may use the designation CCM (Certified Concession Manager) or, for suppliers, ACE (Allied Concession Executive).

NAC has partnered with the University of Memphis to conduct the course. Larry Etter, CCM, NAC's Director of Education and Senior Vice President of Malco Theatres will once again be the instructor. Etter also serves as adjunct professor at the University's Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality and Resort Management. The online option is designed to make the course more accessible to industry professionals who don't have the time or travel budget, or simply prefer an online learning experience.

The Marcus Corporation
Marcus Theatres®, a division of The Marcus Corporation, announced that this year it will be enhancing the moviegoing experience at six of the 14 properties it acquired from Wehrenberg Theatres in December 2016. DreamLounger℠ recliner seating will be installed at Marcus Wehrenberg Cape West (Cape Girardeau), Chesterfield, Des Peres and Ronnie's (St. Louis) in Missouri, and Bloomington and O'Fallon Cines in Illinois. In addition, four of these locations will add at least one new food and beverage concept and three will receive a Marcus signature premium large format screen (PLF). Future enhancements are already being planned for other acquired locations as well.

Officials from Mercedes-Benz Stadium, in partnership with the venue's food service provider, Levy Restaurants, unveiled some specialty items that will be available to fans when the stadium opens to the public Aug. 26.
Menu items range from a brat burger ($10) to burnt end nachos ($10) to two tacos with your choice of barbacoa beef or ancho chicken ($7).

The Ravens will have one thing this season no other team in the NFL does: a Shake Shack in their stadium.
M&T Bank Stadium will be home to Baltimore's second Shake Shack franchise, the team announced recently. It's expected to be up and running in time for the preseason opener. The other three major American leagues all have at least one franchise with an in-stadium Shake Shack but the Ravens are the first NFL team to host an outpost of the burgeoning burger chain. Baltimore's other franchise is located nearby in the Inner Harbor.
