This award recognizes an individual who has provided outstanding service to Sigma Xi and its mission. We're accepting nominations for this year's award until February 15, 2020. The awardee’s name will be displayed on a plaque at Sigma Xi headquarters in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.

The number of students participating in the Student Research Showcase has grown over the last few years. We look forward to hearing from the students who will present their projects in 2020. The abstract deadline is March 6. Students will have until April 10 to create their presentation website, slideshow, and video.

Sigma Xi's Grants in Aid of Research program is just two years from its centennial. The program awards funding to undergraduate and graduate student researchers worldwide. Apply by March 15 to be considered in the next proposal review cycle. In the last cycle, the program awarded 95 students. Collectively, they received $99,811.

Savage will also receive an honorary Rowan University Doctor of Science degree. Savage became an honorary member of Sigma Xi in 2009.
